Higgsfield alternatives, by kind

Updated 2026-11-06

There are three kinds of Higgsfield alternative: apps with ready-made effects, pay-per-use APIs that sell the same AI models without a subscription, and open-source projects you run yourself. Which one fits depends on whether you came for the effects, the models or the price.

Glidezo isn't connected to Higgsfield, and we compete with some options here: we sell online runs of our own skills. Every fact below comes from each company's own page, read on 2026-11-06. Prices change often, so check before you buy.

What Higgsfield is, in short

Higgsfield calls itself "the generative platform for creative production". Its homepage says it offers 35+ frontier models, such as Seedance 2.5, and products such as Cinema Studio, Shorts Studio and an MCP for Claude. Its Viral Presets are "more than 60 ready-made effects": you choose a preset, upload a photo and click generate, and one 720p generation costs 27.5 to 67.5 credits. You pay with a monthly plan of credits. Our Higgsfield pricing page turns those plans into dollars.

The same clip, priced everywhere

A 5-second Seedance 2.0 clip at 720p. Higgsfield's figures are its credits turned into dollars on two plans; the others are list prices.

Where5 s, 720p
Higgsfield website, Plus plan (credits in dollars)$1.08 / videosource·
Higgsfield website, Ultra plan, billed yearly$0.73 / videosource·
BytePlus (ByteDance's own API)$0.76 / videosource·
Sume$0.769source·
Replicate$0.90source·
PiAPI$1.00source·
kie.ai (paid in its credits)$1.025source·
WaveSpeedAI$1.20source·
fal$1.517source·

The cheapest per clip changes with the plan, and a plan only works out cheap if you use its credits: Higgsfield's subscription credits don't roll over. More models and resolutions are on our AI video API price table and the Seedance, Kling and Veo price pages.

1. Pay-per-use APIs and MCPs: the same models, no subscription

These sell the models, not effects. You pay for each video, and nothing expires at the end of a month. Most need a little technical comfort, though an MCP lets an assistant like Claude or Codex do the calling.

  • Sume: image and video models at what it calls 0% markup, with an API and an MCP server for Claude, Claude Code, Codex and Cursor. No subscription. Its Remix section has motion templates you can recreate. Glidezo's online skills run on Sume.
  • fal: usage-based, charged per output from prepaid credits. Many models, no effects.
  • Replicate: "You only pay for what you use", billed by run time or per output.
  • kie.ai: one API for video, image and audio, no monthly fee, credits that don't expire, and failed tasks aren't charged.
  • PiAPI: API, CLI and MCP, priced per use, with integrations for Make, n8n and Zapier.
  • WaveSpeedAI: one API for media models, priced per model.

2. The model makers' own apps

  • Dreamina (CapCut, for Seedance): lists Seedance 2.5, 2.0 and 2.0 Mini, with templates and trending effects such as a 360 spin and a Polaroid look. Subscription, with free daily credits.
  • Kling: its own app for the Kling models. Its credit policy says membership credits are valid for 1 month, and credits you buy for 2 years.
  • Google Flow (for Veo): Google's studio for video and images. We couldn't read its plans on an official page, so we don't quote them.

3. Creative apps with many models

  • OpenArt: subscription plans with monthly credits, from Starter to Wonder. Its pricing page doesn't mention effects or templates.
  • Krea: a free plan with 100 compute units a day, then monthly or yearly plans.

4. Open source: run it yourself

In October 2026, Comfy ran an Open Source Higgsfield challenge: two weeks to rebuild popular apps with ComfyUI, under open-source licences. Winners are due on November 10. Our open-source page lists projects with their authors and licences, including open video models like Wan 2.2. They're free, but most need a GPU with plenty of memory and some setup.

Where Glidezo fits, and where it doesn't

Glidezo is a small library of set skills, not a studio with dozens of models. A few run as effects, such as AI Action Figure and AI Age Progression, and others do one job well, such as Virtual Staging or Product in Scene Ad. You buy credits as you go, with no subscription, and each run shows its price first. Photos of people are checked for consent, children and famous faces, and results are checked before you see them.

What we can't match:

  • Higgsfield has far more effects and models. We have a handful of each.
  • We have no unlimited plans and no editor: one skill makes one result.
  • Our online video is short (around 5 seconds of AI clip) and 720p.

Our free downloads are different again: they make video with code, on your computer, through Claude Code, Codex or Cursor, with no cost per video.

Questions

What is the best Higgsfield alternative?
It depends on what you used Higgsfield for. For its one-click effects, apps with templates come closest, such as Dreamina's trending effects. For the models themselves, a pay-per-use API or MCP like Sume, fal or Replicate charges only for what you make. For no cost per video, open-source projects run on your own GPU.
Is there a free Higgsfield alternative?
Open-source projects are free to download, but need a strong GPU and some setup: see our open-source page. Some apps have free plans or daily credits, such as Krea's free plan with 100 compute units a day. API platforms charge per video, sometimes with a small free trial credit.
Is an API cheaper than Higgsfield?
Per clip, often not on a big Higgsfield plan, and yes on a small one or when you don't use all your credits. A 5 s 720p Seedance 2.0 clip is about 22 Higgsfield credits: $0.73 / video on Ultra yearly, against $0.769 on Sume. Subscription credits that you don't use are lost, and API money isn't.
Can I use Higgsfield's effects somewhere else?
Not the same presets: they are Higgsfield's own. Other apps have their own effects, and Comfy's Open Source Higgsfield challenge asked people to rebuild popular ones as open-source ComfyUI projects. Glidezo runs a few effects of its own, such as AI Action Figure and AI Age Progression.
Is Glidezo connected to Higgsfield?
No. Glidezo is a separate site, and we sell online runs of our own skills, so we compete with some of the options on this page. We list the others anyway, with sources, so you can check every claim.
