Seedance 1.5 Pro is the Seedance generation before 2.0. ByteDance describes it as “a joint audio-video model that accurately follows complex instructions”. Replicate says it can generate video up to 1080p. ByteDance’s page doesn’t give a release date, so we don’t state one here.
Should you still use it?
Compare it with the newer models on the Seedance pricing page before you build on it. ByteDance’s own price list no longer showed it when we read that list for our price pages, though Replicate, fal and WaveSpeedAI still sell it.

- Seedance 2.0: clips of 4 to 15 seconds, and the main model today.
- Seedance 2.5: clips of up to 30 seconds.

Questions
- How much does Seedance 1.5 Pro cost?
- On Replicate it costs $0.026 / s without audio and $0.052 / s with audio at 720p. fal and WaveSpeedAI each list a 5 s 720p clip with audio at $0.26 / video.
- Is Seedance 1.5 Pro free?
- Not on the API providers we list: each charges per clip or per second. ByteDance's Seed page has a Try in Playground link, but we did not test whether it gives free runs.
- Does Seedance 1.5 Pro generate sound?
- Yes. ByteDance calls it a joint audio-video model, with voices and sound effects made alongside the picture, and lip-sync across languages and dialects.
- Can I call Seedance 1.5 Pro through Sume?
- No. Sume's catalog had no Seedance 1.5 Pro when we read it on November 1, 2026. Replicate, fal and WaveSpeedAI list it. The code examples in our Seedance API guide use Seedance 2.0 on Sume.
