How much does Seedance 2.5 cost?

BytePlus's own example puts a 5 s 720p clip at $1.156 / video. On Sume it is $0.1028 / s at 480p, $0.2312 / s at 720p and $0.5686 / s at 1080p, so Sume's 5 s 720p clip comes to the same $1.156.

Is Seedance 2.5 free?

We found no free API. BytePlus's page lists paid plans and pay-as-you-go billing. ByteDance's Seed page has a Try in Playground link, but we did not test whether it gives free runs. ByteDance's model weights are not something we could find to download, so you can't run it free on your own computer either.

How long can a Seedance 2.5 clip be?

BytePlus lists 4 to 30 seconds at 480p, 720p or 1080p and 24 frames per second. ByteDance's Seed page says a video can also be extended twice.

Can Seedance 2.5 use reference images, video and audio?

Yes. BytePlus advertises 50 multimodal inputs. Sume's catalog gives the breakdown: up to 30 reference images, 10 reference videos and 10 reference audio files, with no more than 50 files in all.

When was Seedance 2.5 released?

TechNode reported the release on July 31, 2026, with the rollout starting in ByteDance's Jimeng AI and the Pro version of Doubao and the API to follow. The API is now on BytePlus and Sume.
