What makes a good prompt

Models fill in whatever you leave out, and they often guess in ways you didn't want. "A car on a road" could be any car, any road and any weather. A good prompt names the subject, what it does, where it is, how the light falls, and the look you want.

Video prompts need two more things: what happens over time and how the camera moves. It usually helps to describe one continuous shot, because a short clip rarely has room for several scenes.

How to use this tool

  1. Write your idea in a sentence. Specific details, such as a colour or a place, stay in the prompt.
  2. Choose video or image, then the look you want.
  3. Copy the prompt, read it, and change anything that isn't what you meant.
  4. Paste it into your model. To check what a clip costs first, see AI video API prices.

  • Questions

    Is this prompt generator free?
Yes. It needs no account and no credits. Everyone shares a daily limit, so if it runs out, come back the next day.
Which AI models do the prompts work with?
The prompts are plain English, so you can paste them into any model that takes a text prompt. We don't tune them for one model, so you may want to adjust the length or wording.
Do you keep what I type?
No. Your idea goes to the AI model and our safety check to write the prompt. We don't store or log your idea or the prompt.
    Why was my idea refused?
The tool doesn't write prompts about children, sexual content or real named people. The check can also make mistakes. If that happens, try different wording.
    What writes the prompts?
Meta's Llama 4 Scout model, running on Cloudflare Workers AI. Check a prompt before paying to run it, because the model can get details wrong.
